We officially begin the countdown now. Everything looks to be on track, and we will be getting our travel information soon, so start getting in shape for our adventure.

Meeting Details from March 9, 2006

Some of the issues covered in the meeting Thursday night.

-We were unable to get Rachel for our tour guide (Finals at MIT conflicted), so she has suggested an alternative to be one of our two tour guides.

-We have a large group, so we will have two guides this year.

-We are flying out of LAX, but we do not know the airline or departure time yet.

-Tipping guides and bus drivers is expected. I am asking that everyone bring $18 for tip, and give it to me before we leave LAX.

-You need to start getting into solid walking shape...anticipate at least 7 miles per day of walking.

As soon as I know our schedule, and travel details, I will post them on this page. I will also post baggage restrictions at that point.

This should be a good trip, but I do want to stress that it is likely that there will be things that go wrong. Please be patient and refrain from complaining on the trip. In big groups, complaining is contagious....as is having a good time.

Absolute Payment Cutoff

The cutoff for payments on trips is March 9. Please check the status of your account, and if you had a $1 balance, and now have a $76 balance, call EF..and they will remove that charge. It is necessary to pay the $1 balance though (it reflects a $1 increase in the departure fee from one of the cities we are visiting)

Meeting scheduled

We will have a meeting at 6:00 PM on Thursday (March 9) to discuss some of the details of the trip. The meeting will be in my classroom (G3).
