Free Day in DC

We hit everything on our early morning schedule, and then were off on our free day. I led a group...and we were busy.

We headed to the Old Post Office for lunch and a trip up the tower. Then off to the National Museum of American History, where we took in the First Ladies Display, the American Presidency Display, the Price of Freedom Display, the Star Spangled Banner Display, and the Pentagon Flag Display.

After that I took Gabe and Michael to the Sky Terrace Restaurant atop the Hotel Washington, overlooking the Treasury Building, the White House, the Mall, etc. for dinner. We then rejoined the group, who was eating their dinner....then back to the Sky Terrace for dessert.

We then walked the short distance to the North Side of the White House, where a protest by Code Pink, and including Cindy Sheehan was underway. We were polite, and did not vocalize our opinions of the protestors.
